Paying tribute to the fantastic and the magical, the final instalment of LOEWE’s partnership with Studio Ghibli brings the beloved characters of the 2004 film Howl’s Moving Castle to life, animating clothing and accessories like the Puzzle, Flamenco and Bracelet pouches and blending hand-drawn and digital animation. Scenes from the film come to life in the lining of tweed jackets, while feathers on a cardigan flutter in the wind to cinematic effect. Just like the movie, creative director Jonathan Anderson writes that the message behind the collection “is one of uplifting connection. Crafting fantasies to create alternative realities and see the world in a different way.”

Starring Taylor Russell, Rianne Van Rompaey, Oliver O’Sullivan and Hyunji Shin, the campaign images aim to infuse viewers with a sense of joy and excitement, the same sort of childish wonder which fans of the film might remember. Launching in stores 2 February, alongside pop-ups in key locations around the world, the collection will also exclusively be available to registered clients online ahead of the launch.
