Man With Style: Dick Lee, Singer-Songwriter
“My one advice to aspiring musicians: Infuse your sense of self into your work."
You may know him best as a singer-songwriter (among his credits: much-loved National Day song Home and the acclaimed musical Snow.Wolf.Lake), but Dick Lee has talents that go beyond the musical. The dapper “Mad Chinaman” also has fashion chops—he has choreographed fashion shows, run modelling agencies and even designed apparel. In 2018, the 65-year-old packed all that creative prowess under one roof: His multi-faceted creative agency Dick Lee Asia, where he serves as Creative Director. His nearly 50-year career may be varied, but the one constant is a humbleness that sees him practising gratitude to those who made his illustrious success possible.
