For one night only during Paris Couture Week, the Miu Miu Club took residence in the City of Lights. With exquisite architectural details, including a famous painted ceiling—Day Chasing the Night Away by Paul Baudry—and a grand Algerian yellow onyx staircase, plus an equally colourful history to match, the Hotel de la Pravia on Champs Elysees was an ironic and interesting location for a club celebrating the many facets of the Miu Miu woman. The elegant private residence was transformed into club rooms consisting of a cinema, restaurant and show house for a presentation of its Cruise 2017 collection.
Weaving together history, layers of cultural meaning and Miu Miu’s fundamental spirit of female empowerment, the Miu Miu Club Paris seeks to play with the senses by marrying the new collection with fresh encounters.
Members were in for an all-round sensory treat—getting to view the new fall/winter 2016 campaign and video starring Amanda Seyfried for the very first time; savouring dishes by British chef Margot Henderson; listening to renowned string quartet, Dirty Pretty Strings perform and DJ sets by Paul Simonon, Plasticines, Kate Moss and Katie Grand; watch all eleven short films from the auteur Miu Miu Women’s Tales series as well as coming up-close with the Cruise 2017 collection.
