Two things will always be in fashion: Chic accessories and a good old dose of nostalgia. American fashion brand Coach knows this better than anyone, and to celebrate their 75th anniversary this year, they are rolling out a brand new collection with one of America’s most famous brands: Disney.
And the star of their collection? Why, Mickey Mouse of course! “Mickey Mouse is one of my earliest memories of American pop—his nostalgic charm, cheekiness, individuality and inherent cool make for the ultimate American icon,” Coach’s Creative Director Stuart Vevers explained. “I’ve always seen Mickey as a playful rebel at heart and a timeless symbol of joy and creativity. That spirit reinforces the new youthful perspective we are bringing to luxury at Coach.”
The collection features exclusive Mickey Mouse sketches by the Disney animators and is used on Coach classics such as the Dinky and Saddle bags, sneakers, certain ready-to-wear pieces and limited edition collectible pieces such as oversized black leather Mickey dolls and shearling beanbags.
The Disney x Coach collection will launch exclusively in a specially-designed concept at the Coach store in Soho, New York and at Colette, the celebrated store on rue St. Honore in Paris. It will be released on 17 June 2016 on www.coach.com and Coach stores worldwide.
