This morning, several members of the royal family marked Anzac Day by attending memorial services. Anzac Day honors those citizens of Australia and New Zealand who have died in military conflict or peacekeeping operations, and marks the anniversary of the “first major military action fought by Australian and New Zealand forces during the First World War.”
According to the Australian government’s website, it is also a day when people can reflect upon “the many different meanings of war.” While Prince Charles was in France for an engagement, Prince William, Prince Harry, and Meghan Markle honored the day by attending events in London.
