Valentine’s Day may be over, but there are still days when you’re just in the mood to cry – and there’s nothing wrong with that. It could probably be because of work, or you’ve been trying to get over that breakup with your ex. But even with these problems, you can’t seem to let it all out. Now that’s where good tearjerkers come in.

More often than not, we enjoy binging on feel-good shows that make us feel warm and fuzzy on the inside. But on days when you just feel like bawling your eyes out, the best tearjerking shows might just help you to unlock even the most ironclad tear ducts. From classics like Perks of Being a Wallflower or Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, ahead we’ve rounded up some of the shows to watch which will guarantee a good cry.

Perks of Being a Wallflower

The story follows the life of Charlie, a freshman in high school and his unconventional style of thinking as he navigates between the worlds of adolescence and adulthood. He is quiet and withdrawn, but he is also extremely observant and thoughtful, always paying close attention to everything. But this all changes when he meets two seniors named Patrick and Sam.

The two help Charlie discover the joys of friendship, first love, music and more, while a teacher sparks Charlie’s dreams of becoming a writer. However, as his friends prepare to leave for college and a disturbing family secret that Charlie has repressed for his entire life surfaces at the end of the school year, his inner sadness throws him into shambles and threatens to shatter his newfound confidence.

Just like many relationships, Clementine and Joel go through a painful breakup. But after splitting, Clementine decides to undergo a procedure to erase memories of her former lover, Joel from her mind. However, when Joel finds out that Clementine is going out of her way to forget their relationship, he undergoes the same procedure and slowly begins to forget the woman he loved. But as much as he tries to, only the most beautiful memories remain, and Joel falls in love with Clementine all over again.

Years go by and even though they keep in touch, Alex only finds out about her child when he flies home to visit, where Rosie works as a maid and lives with her parents. As the movie goes on, they both follow their different paths and deal with a series of unforeseen events, until they find their way back to each other and to the life they once idealised, even with everything that happened in between.
