Get ready to be reacquainted with Sailor Moon, the manga legend from the 1990s manga legend. A feminist heroine, cosplay icon, gender-shifting crusader (the show was censored when it first debuted due to its depictions of queerness), she’s now an inspiration for Gen Z.
In fact, the sartorial choices of Sailor Moon (the alter ego of schoolgirl Usagi Tsukino) and her band of Sailor Guardians have become a big talking point among fans of babetastic ’90s and early Y2K fashion, inspiring fan accounts like @sailor_fashionistas on Instagram and raking in about 2.7 billion #sailormoon hashtags on TikTok.

Joining the Sailor Moon bandwagon is the youth-inflected French fashion label Maje which is launching a a limited-edition streetwear-inspired collection christened Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon. Available exclusively at the brand’s store at The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands on April 26, the collaboration spans ready-to-wear and accessories. Prices range from $55 for a pair of socks to $585 for a bag.
The collection not only features prints of characters from the manga and their catchphrases, it is also a pastel dream, with items awash in pretty hues of blue, yellow, and pink. For those who can’t get enough of Sailor Moon, Maje has also created a one-of-a-kind monogram that blends the Pretty Guardian’s silhouette with the brand’s signature clover motif.
Ahead, some of our top picks from the collection.
