Savina Chai, a creative consultant and one of BAZAAR’s Most Stylish Women 2019, is no stranger to the fashion scene. When she’s not showing off her impeccable taste on her Instagram, she develops campaigns for brands such as Chanel, Louis Vuitton and Prada, and works on global partnerships for her other business ventures.
She joined our EIC Kenneth Goh at Paris Fashion Week for the fall/winter 2020 shows, capturing all the exciting runway moments and before/after-show shenanigans with the latest Samsung Galaxy Z Flip. Scroll through the gallery to see her PFW diary.

Favourite shows at PFW
Hermès and Chanel. I’m a huge fan of Nadège Vanhee-Cybulski‘s vision for the Hermès woman. The collection this season is refined and sporty while paying homage to the house’s origins in horse riding. Chanel is something close to my heart as I grew up studying the history and work of the house. It will always be my favourite part of #PFW!
F/W 2020 must-haves
Some key pieces and accessories that I’ve seen across multiple shows are long evening gloves, black ties and fringed jackets.
Essential accessory for Fashion Week
Filming as models walk down the runway can be tricky as they move so quickly. The Galaxy Z Flip’s foldable arch gives great support so I don’t miss a second of action. It’s been such a great companion during PFW, especially for shows with venues that are huge—the zoom capabilities are amazing! Plus, I appreciate good design, and love that the phone is sleek and compact. It fits nicely into my mini bags and pockets when I decide to go bag-free!

Survival tip for PFW
I have low tolerance for the cold and I’m always freezing. Beneath my outfits, I’m wearing dual layers of Heat-tech. It may look like I’m doing well in the cold, but I’ve actually squirrelled away four to five mini heat packs in my pockets!
Best moments at PFW
This is my fourth time at PFW, and it was a little smaller with scaled down sets compared to the previous seasons due to the COVID-19 developments. Some of my friends from Hong Kong, Taiwan and Japan could not attend. Nonetheless, it was still amazing to witness my favourite designers’ creations come to life! I attended my first Valentino and Sacai show this season—it is a new milestone as I’m a huge fan of Pierpaolo Piccioli and Chitose Abe‘s work. Many runway looks don’t end up in commercial stores so it’s great to see the pieces up close. I brought my good friend, Jessicacindy, with me instead of my usual team as the schedule this season was less hectic. We had a great time sharing our love for fashion!
