The world has yet to hear a duet from Anitta (the Brazilian superstar behind global hits like “Envolver”) and Rihanna (beauty and fashion mogul, maternity style innovator, and, with her recent ballad “Lift Me Up,” singer, once again, to the entire world’s relief). Fans of both artists are being treated to the next best thing with Anitta’s guest appearance in the Savage X Fenty Vol. 4 show, streaming on Amazon Prime Video today.
Volume 4 is billed as a “seductive fashion fever dream,” showcasing jewel tone separates and lacy black loungewear on an extravagant cast of models, dancers, and surprise guests—Anitta included. For her debut scene, Anitta turns a canyon, flooded with sultry magenta and sapphire light, into her stage. While wearing a long-sleeve fishnet catsuit with leather harness details, she belts out a medley of two of her biggest hits, “Envolver” and “Practice.” Very casual.

“I have to be able to move my body when I perform—that is most important,” Anitta tells us about her performance look. And equally important as a sexy form of functionality? “Bringing the Brazilian heat.”
“I felt incredible and sexy and free. That’s exactly what Savage X Fenty is supposed to be,” she adds.

Half the fun of a Savage X Fenty show is taking in all the celebrity runway cameos amid the Emmy-winning choreography and brand-new lingerie, even when you’re also a celebrity watching the show. Anitta says she was most excited to see Nigerian singer Burna Boy’s performance after conquering her own. “He is a global artist like me, and being able to represent our culture is always important,” she explains.
Joining Rihanna’s must-watch show was a moment for the singer. “Rihanna, SXF, and this show represent everything that is important to me as an artist and performer: inclusivity and being true to who you are,” Anitta says.
And, there’s another form of showing up at play, one that’s more body-positive than your typical runway. “I am representing my fellow Brazilians and Latin women everywhere. We have curves!” Anitta adds. “I am bringing that energy and this show exudes it.”
When you strip away the strobe lights and the dizzying choreography, each Savage X Fenty show is, at its core, an invitation for a top-drawer refresh. Thankfully, nearly every piece showcased in this year’s show is shoppable right now. As a true Savage X Fenty fan, Anitta first says her must-have item from the collection is simply “everything.” But if she has to narrow it down to one, “The catsuits are amazing.”
For the popstar, “You can dress [the catsuits] up and down, and wear them anywhere.” With a dose of her energy, we might be tempted to try wearing one everywhere too.
