For Coach’s return to the spring/summer 2022 runway in New York City, creative director Stuart Vevers turned to the brand’s first head designer Bonnie Cashin—the creative pioneer behind the iconic turnlock—for inspiration. In fact, the whole collection is a nod to Cashin’s vision—with ready-to-wear, bags and accessories reimagined from the archives.
That’s not all. The Cashin Carry Tote is also updated in environmentally-friendly leather, as well as leather from upcycled baseball gloves, furthering Coach’s commitment to sustainability with pieces made to last.
Most importantly, Vevers’ latest offering is also a tribute to New York City, where institutions like Central Park, Zabar’s, Serendipity and the Brooklyn Bridge featured heavily in the collection.
