The rumors are true.

Kim Kardashian's Skims Is Expanding Into Swimwear

Kim Kardashian's Skims has come a long way since its 2019 debut. In just a few short years, the solution-wear brand has partnered with luxury fashion house Fendi on a sold-out collection, outfitted Team USA for the Olympics, and amassed a loyal legion of cult followers, all while upping the ante of its already coveted designs with each new drop. It also has a 3.2 billion valuation, according to most recent reports. Next on the docket? A buildable system of minimal swimwear that the founder has been teasing on her Instagram for months.

After the mom of four started posting a slew of beach and poolside pics from her trip to the Bahamas earlier this year (including that one with the motorcycle helmet), fans began to speculate in the comments that Skims swim was on the way. And, well, they weren't wrong. "I know our customers have been wanting this from us for such a long time," Kardashian said in a press release. "We’ve really taken the time to make sure we’re offering the best solutions for our customers. Buying swimwear should be fun and easy, yet so many women feel daunted by it. I wanted to change that and make the process as simple as possible by providing a full Swim wardrobe—both for in and out of the water."

News of the expansion officially broke in a very Kardashian-like manner— with a series of social media posts and moody visuals, meant to get her millions of followers riled up about the new offering. And each caption reiterated what Skims's customers have been saying since its inception: A Skims swimwear collection is long overdue.

"It was essential that the launch of such a highly anticipated category resonated with our customers in the ways they expect, with a focus on fit, comfort and versatility," added Skims co-founder Jens Grede. "Like with other categories we have launched, such as Lounge, our blueprint for success is heavily dictated by listening to our customer beforehand—we know at this stage what they want from Skims Swim, and our goal is to exceed their expectations."

Doing just that, the new lineup includes an assortment of 19 different swim styles in seven color ways, all of which are very on brand. There are second-skin rash guards and a range of cover-ups for more modest options. To show more skin, there are barely there bikinis with bottoms and tops for shoppers to mix and match. "There is truly something here for everyone," Kardashian said.

If you're looking to get your hands on the collection, it will be available in full at Skims.com on Friday, March 18.
