Rarely do collaborations make as much noise as Louis Vuitton's latest tie-up with Yayoi Kusama. Reviving a celebrated partnership which stretches all the way back to 2006, when then-creative director of Louis Vuitton, Marc Jacobs, met Kusama at her studio in Tokyo, the new collection truly marks a full circle moment for the brand.

While just about everything the legendary Japanese artist does ends up earning social media buzz, this marks the first time her work with Louis Vuitton has made its debut on Instagram. No surprise there, considering Kusama first rose to global prominence for her Insta-famous Infinity Rooms. And what a class act in marketing it was, with a star-studded lineup of social media posts marking the collaboration's return to storefronts worldwide. From supermodels Gisele Bündchen and Bella Hadid and K-pop stars Hyuna and Hwasa to Harper's BAZAAR Singapore's December 2022 cover star Eileen Gu, it was hard to find a single celebrity who didn't post about the drop - a testament to the ever-lasting synergy which only emerges from the most powerful marriages between art and fashion.
