It was all about lashes at Jason Wu's fall/winter 16 show. The make-up artist Yadim layered on Maybelline's Colossal Spider Effect Mascara onto every model's lashes after contouring the eye area with brown shadow.

Soft pinks were seen at Derek Lam, too. While the make-up was pretty and feminine, the hair was fastened in a quick, undone knot.

The skin had a dewy finish to it at Prabal Gurung and eyes were given a light gloss.

The hair was twisted into a low ponytail and given plenty of texture.

Earthy brown and green tones were used on models' eyes at Victoria Beckham, while their hair was fastened back into low, sleek ponytails.

High shine finger waves were teamed with glossy loose hair at Opening Ceremony for an eye catching dual-texture look.

Kohl-lined eyes, flushed lips and cheeks and brushed up brows set the tone at Coach.

Washes of bronze hues, and highlighter around the eyes and along the cheekbones provided a soft, pretty look at Tommy Hilfiger, with no nod to the usual sporty, minimalist beauty. Photo: Getty

Strong brows, flawless skin with contoured cheeks and glossy hair tucked into the collars formed the look at Vera Wang.

The look at Carolina Herrera is always beautifully feminine and covetable. For autumn/winter 16, the hair was glossy and straight, while the make-up was flawless and nude, with the slightest hint of pink on the lips.

There was a strong Seventies vibe at Diane von Furstenberg, with the make-up artist Pat McGrath contouring the eye socket with brown liner and shadow, and applying three to four coats of mascara. While the hair was tailored to the individual, there was a reference to the era with voluminous curls and waves.

Another season, another hair accessory and for autumn/winter 16 it was all about orchids. The hair stylist Odile Gilbert teased the hair into undone chignons before laying the flowers and the headpiece in place. In terms of make-up, the strong, berry lip stole the show.

The messy knots at Tory burch had a sophisticated feel to them with a shiny, healthy finish. The make-up was kept chic and natural with a hint of pink on the lips and dewy skin.
