Tall, pouty-lipped, tanned and suave, Charles Melton has been conquering the small screen and the Internet since landing a role on Riverdale. Best known for playing the campy thriller’s cocky, but cute jock Reggie Mantle, he single-handedly broke YouTube when we saw him canoodle with Ariana Grande in “Break up with your girlfriend, I’m bored” two months ago.

Born on January 4th in Juneau, Alaska, the actor is blessed with a culturally-rich heritage. Melton’s mother is Korean whereas his father is British and Cherokee. Raised in Manhattan, Kansas, the future actor played on the football team at the University of Kansas. However, Melton dropped out after two years to take a shot at breaking into showbiz.

Prior to his big break on Riverdale, Charles was discovered at the Arts Showcase in Orlando, where he was scouted as a model. Not long after he starred in campaigns for Dolce & Gabbana and Kenneth Cole. Apart from being thirsted over by high fashion, Old Navy and Hollister also tapped the rising star to be featured in their campaigns. Then, he transitioned to acting by making his debut in Glee, which was one of his favourite TV shows to watch, and starred in American Horror Story, where he had a small role as Mr. Wu. Since Melton replaced Ross Butler as Reggie Mantle, the former’s career has surged to new heights as he will be starring in The Sun Is Also A Star alongside the following sequel to Bad Boys.

Apart from his ever-growing career, this charming Capricorn is also obsessed with food. If you want to spend the night with him (sorry, Camila Mendes!), you must turn on the Food Channel before you order room service and turn up William Hung on Spotify (note: they’re his go-to guilty pleasure). Shall you forgo the night to Netflix and chill, let Melton take you on a trip to the Dongdaemun Night Market for some unforgettable tongue-tingling kimchi.

How can we not fall in love with a Prince Charming who can act, lives to eat and be fluent in Korean?! Ladies, we’re officially trapped!
