If there's one thing that we can all agree on, it's that 2017 has been a huge year for the beauty industry and, more specifically, for our make-up bags.

With brands like Fenty Beauty, Illamasqua and Glossier outwardly embracing alternative beauty standards, shattering stereotypes and treating inclusivity and diversity as far more than just a marketing coup, 2017 was the year that more women than ever were included in the beauty conversation.

And the world's search history reflects just that. Ranking the top-searched beauty names from 1-10, Google has revealed our most sought after brands from the past year, and let's just say, that old myth about 'darker shades not selling' doesn't seem to have affected the rankings.
