On 3 December, Louis Vuitton held an opening party for the launch of its Volez, Voguez, Voyagez exhibition at the Grand Palais, Paris. This exhibition, curated by Olivier Saillard, depicts the creative history behind the luxury travel pieces adorning those instantly recognisable initials. Arranged in nine chapters, the exhibition takes you on a voyage into the past, showing Louis Vuitton’s inspired vision that turned travel into an art.
The opening night was attended by bold-faced luminaries such as France’s Minister for the Economy, Industry and Digital Affairs, Emmanuel Macron and actress Catherine Denevue. Guests were welcomed by Bernard Arnault, Chief Executive Officer of LVMH Moët Hennessy, and Michael Burke, Chief Executive Officer of Louis Vuitton. Other notable figures in the French fashion community such as Nicolas Ghesquière, Karl Lagerfeld and Patrick Demarchelier, as well as international fashion stars the likes of supermodel/entrepreneur Natalia Vodianova, fashion blogger Susie Lau and Tamu McPherson were also in attendance. Together, attendees celebrated both the cultural heritage of French fashion, and its vibrant forward-looking spirit.
