While big-time artists like Jennifer Lopez, Cardi B, and Lady Gaga (and even Michelle Obama!) made stunning appearances at the Grammy Awards last night, some major stars were still absent from the ceremony. Here, we round up some of the artists we missed at the 2019 Grammys, from Queen Bey to BadGal Riri and beyond.

Although the couple made an appearance at Roc Nation's Pre-Grammy brunch (pictured), they were M.I.A. for the ceremony itself. Last year, Bey skipped the red carpet and arrived mid-show to support her husband, who was highly-nominated for last year's awards show.

Grande was originally scheduled to perform at the ceremony, but things went awry after disagreements with the Grammys producers. The songstress clarified that she will no longer be attending the ceremony when she felt her "creativity & self expression [were] stifled."

Despite missing the ceremony, the singer secured her first Grammy win with Best Pop Vocal Album for her LP, Sweetener. Though she wasn't at the Staples Center, she had a great time flaunting her Zac Posen gown from home on Instagram.

Although "Shallow" from the Cooper-directed A Star Is Born is up for multiple awards at the Grammys, the actor is missing the ceremony because he's in the U.K. to represent the film at the BAFTAs.

Like Bradley Cooper, Swift was reportedly overseas for the BAFTAs to support her boyfriend, Joe Alwyn, who appeared in the highly-nominated film The Favourite. Some fans also caught her and her man getting cozy at the after party.

The multi-talented artist also known as Childish Gambino took home major awards as his track "This Is America" won for Best Music Video, Record of the Year, and Song of the Year, but he wasn't present to accept his trophies.

The New York Times reported that the Grammys offered Glover a chance to perform at the ceremony, but he declined.

Lamar's work on the Black Panther album earned multiple nods, including Record of the Year and Song of the Year (for "All the Stars" with SZA), and Album of the Year, but he was a no-show. The NY Times also reported that Lamar was another artist who declined an offer to perform at the Grammys.

Although we would've enjoyed a red carpet appearance from the newlyweds, they missed the Grammys in L.A. because they were over in NYC, Elle reports. Bieber also wasn't nominated for any awards, and TMZ previously reported the singer wouldn't make a Grammys appearance until his new album is done. JB was last nominated in 2017 for his collab with Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee, "Despacito."

The power couple missed the ceremony and instead watched the Grammys broadcast from home, which Teigen luckily documented on Twitter.

Legend shared one nomination with his Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert cast for Best Musical Theater Album, but lost to The Band's Visit.

Bad Gal RiRi wasn't up for any awards this year (although fans have been pressing her for a new album as she churns out new beauty and lingerie releases), but we would've loved to see her boundary-pushing fashion on the red carpet and gif-worthy reactions from the audience.

Ahead of the ceremony, the pop singer tweeted, "I think it’s kind of rad that I just lost my 20th Grammy nomination. I’m always honored to be included. Now to get this sick baby in the bathtub. Congrats to all the nominees! Have fun tonight."

She also shared a photo of her daughter presenting her with a makeshift Grammy award at home.
