Our favourite Korean dating show, Single’s Inferno, is back with a second season! And while we’ve all waited for a year (not that we’re counting) for it to drop, we can’t help but ogle over the new cast.
After the dramatic ending last year, especially with the whole Song Ji-ah controversy that blew up the internet, we kind of set our expectations really high for the new group of individuals. But of course, Netflix doesn’t disappoint. This time ‘round, the show introduced a handful of hot and young singles to the pot, and you could say that we’re all at the edge of our seats as we watch the drama unfurl between these new bombshells.
Now that we’re left with the last two episodes that are set to be released next week, we thought that it would be the perfect time to get to know and follow the cast members on Instagram, while we wait and speculate about the final pairings in episode ten.

If you’ve already watched the show then you would’ve known that Sin Seul-ki is the first contestant that appeared on the island. And while more contestants started coming in, the baby-faced star still manages to grab the attention of many suitors throughout the show.
In the show, it was revealed that Seul-ki is currently enrolled in Seoul National University’s piano department. But what many don’t know is that the 25-year-old comes from an elite background and is also the daughter of one of South Korea’s top plastic surgeons. According to Koreaboo, “he is the founder and head surgeon at BIO Plastic Surgery. Koreans name him one of the top-earning surgeons due to his developments in botox brands.”
Known for his longstanding crush on Shin Seul-ki, you can definitely tell that Choi Jong-woo is someone who prides himself on being loyal. But if you’ve ever wondered what the reason was behind him signing up for the show, then you’ll be surprised to know that it was because a monk told him he ‘might marry’ one of the show’s contestants. Yes, you read that right. Even monks love Korean reality shows on hot singles too.
Now then that begs the question, is Shin Seul-ki the one Jong-woo has been waiting for? Well, only time will tell.
As she was introducing herself in the show, Park Se-jeong reveals that she’s someone who’s sporty and enjoys spending time regularly lifting weights at least three to four times a week and playing tennis. And just like her, the hottie also said that she desires to meet a person just as ‘hot’ as herself and also someone who can “take care” of her.
Throughout the show, we can tell that she has the hots for some of the contestants, but we’re still waiting for her to pick a hottie that’s worthy of her love.
We’re not going to lie but many of us assumed that Dong-woo was a personal trainer or even a tailor when we first saw him in the show. Besides, doesn’t he look like Oh Jin-taek from season one?
But he took us by surprise when he revealed that he was actually a plastic surgeon. The singleton mentioned that he graduated from Yonsei University College of Medicine and was convinced to go to med school as he was influenced by his father who was also a doctor. The 32-year-old also mentioned during his introduction that he was into sports, specifically basketball, and he likes to lift weights regularly.
As a student majoring in neuroscience and her secondary major being computer science at Harvard University, it comes as no surprise that this singleton speaks fluent English and Korean. Later in the show, she revealed that the reason why she decided to participate in Single’s Inferno was that she wanted to get out of her comfort zone and find her man during her school break. During her free time, she works at a lab at Boston Children’s Hospital and she also does research on temporal lobe epilepsy. Aside from that, Nadine revealed that she’s also really sporty and she enjoys being outdoors and likes playing soccer and lacrosse.
What’s not to love about Kim Han-bin? He’s bright and cheery, good looking and he cooks really well. Not just because he’s been helping out in the kitchen on Inferno, but believe it or not, he’s actually a chef himself. The star pursued his culinary passion seven years ago and has since won the grand prize in 2018 at the Korean International Cooking Competition. Ever since he started his career as a chef, Han Bin has earned certifications in Korean, Western, and Chinese cuisine, and he’s also certified in food safety management by the U.S. National Restaurant Association. Besides whipping up a good meal, the chef enjoys spending his free time rock climbing.
The 23-year-old is a Theatre and Film Major at Hanyang University, focusing on acting. And reportedly, the university senior So-e signed with acting house Saram Entertainment, which is under the same agency as other veteran star actors like Cho Jin-woong, Lee Ha-nee, Jung Ho-yeon, and Byun Yo-han.
Shy and reserved, So-e reveals that she’s someone who has a calm personality. She enjoys dancing and also revealed that she’s looking for someone who is stable and generous, and she often looks for a guy who is tall and has very strong features, take, for instance, her fellow contestant, Jo Yoong-jae.
At first look, many might assume that he’s an athlete. He introduced himself as someone who loves being active and enjoys participating in activities like cross-fit training and hiking. In fact, he also has his own YouTube channel where he shares more about his camping trips.
But what many don’t know is that this singleton graduated from Hanyang University with a financial management degree and he now works at a securities firm in Yeouido.
His reason for joining the show? Well, Yoong-jae mentioned that he’s looking for a partner to commit himself to in the long run and not just for the summer.
Did you know that Choi Seo-eun was crowned Miss Korea in 2021? On top of that, she also graduated from Pratt Institute’s School of Art in New York and majored in fine arts, which explains why this promising 28-year-old is now working as an artist in Korea. In the summer, Choi Seo-eun shares that she enjoys paddleboarding and she even considers herself to be more on the athletic side.
The star also revealed that she’s looking for a happy and stable relationship and she wants to be with someone that will make her smile just by looking at his face.
Jin-young might have arrived a little later than the rest, but he definitely made his mark when he joined the show. A hot favourite amongst the ladies, you could say that Jin-young is someone who’s charming on the inside and out. He has a passion for motorcycles and he also enjoys going out for a ride every now and then. To maintain his physique, he also works out at least five times a week.
Prior to Single’s Inferno, Jin-young also participated in other dating shows like Love & Joy, where singles appear with their best friend of the opposite sex. The show questions if men and women could truly be friends without it leading to romance. He was also on another survival-type game show as well called Bloody Game.
As for his career, Jin-young mentioned that he was previously in the UDT (the navy special forces) for four years then he was discharged. Currently, he’s a YouTuber who makes military content.
When she was first introduced in the show, Lee Min-su confessed that she appeared soft and talkative on the outside. Yet, she is really strong. Previously, Lim Min-su was a contestant for Miss Korea 2020 and was also a student at Duksung Women’s University doing oriental paintings. Later on, it was also revealed that the 26-year-old is the CEO of her own online shopping company and manages her own business, and occasionally does freelance modelling during her free time.
Did you know that Kim Se-jun works for the same company as Oh Jin-taek? The garment cutter was introduced later on in the show and caught everyone’s attention for his sense of style. In the show, he mentioned to Lee So-e that he also tailor-made all of his outfits in Single’s Inferno as well. During his introduction, he mentioned that his most attractive features are kindness and making others feel comfortable, and he’s looking for a partner who is kind and has a bubbly personality.
