Featuring fresh and fluid silhouette-enhancing designs, the Chanel Coco Beach 2022 collection continues to reflect Grabielle “Coco” Chanel’s love for the sea, sun and life in the great outdoors.
Embodying art de vivre—the French art of living—this stunning line by Chanel is designed to turn heads while celebrating spontaneity and freedom of movement as you enjoy a day out by the ocean or poolside.
First unveiled in 2018 by the late fashion legend Karl Lagerfeld after drawing inspiration from his visit to the Saint-Tropez boutique a year earlier, the present-day 2022 capsule collection is being reinvented by Chanel’s creative director Virginie Viard.
In the latest campaign, American actress Margaret Qualley (daughter of Andie MacDowell and Paul Qualley) is featured on film and in images, with the artistic skills of Australian photographer Lachlan Bailey at work.
“The collection is so fun because it represents summer, vacation and freedom,” says Qualley, who is Chanel’s ambassador. “The pieces in this collection are at once fantastically luxurious and easy-going, a seemingly impossible feat, but not in the hands of Virginie Viard!”
Here, trendsetter and fashion entrepreneur Yoyo Cao who is one of Asia’s top social media influencers, models the collection in Monte Carlo, along the French Riviera on the Mediterranean.
The Chanel Coco Beach 2022 collection comes in three distinct themes:
Sweet Chic: Pink
The pink tweed is reinterpreted as a print with feminine bows and CC strass while the super-light tweed adds a terrycloth effect even as mini white sequins up the luxe factor.
Fashionably Cool: Quilted Denim
Light and casual, this scalloped cut is inspired by the wind blowing over the beach. Its colour quilted embroidery adds a geometric touch while giving off subtle vintage vibes.
Timeless Elegance: Black & White
This quilted jersey is super soft, keeps its shape when wet and also dries quickly. Meanwhile, precious pearl beads with CC and “CHANEL” letters make a statement befitting the French luxury fashion house.
