Cha Eun-woo, Song Hye-kyo Explore Tiara-Making And More At Chaumet’s ION Orchard Pop-Up

In the modern world, tiaras are almost mythical pieces of jewellery which only appear in fairytales, movies or on the heads of royals who are untouchable. But thanks to Chaumet’s latest pop-up boutique at ION Orchard, we get an up-close-and-personal experience with the French jeweller’s exquisite craftsmanship and history with tiara-making.
South Korean singer Cha Eun-woo and popular K-drama actress Song Hye-kyo graced the opening of the new boutique. Designed in the shape of an actual tiara, the pop-up welcomes visitors to explore the brilliance of the Firmament de Minuit Tiara and its star motif, which is inspired by Chaumet’s 19th-century designs.

But the fully-paved diamond tiara isn't the only remarkable treasure on display.
Rare maillechorts – nickel silver models and prototypes made for monarchies and aristocratic families – have been extracted from the Maison’s expansive archives to showcase the intricate details which have gone into the creation process of over 2,000 tiaras since the 1700s.

Since becoming the official jeweller to France’s Imperial Court and the personal jeweller for Empress Josephine, Chaumet has continued to make exceptional high jewellery and timepieces for centuries, all of which embody the Parisian spirit and savoir-faire that has been passed down for generations.
This expertise is evident with Chaumet’s signature contemporary collections such as the Liens, Joséphine and Bee My Love lineups, which will also be available at the pop-up. After all, what's the point of a boutique without some shopping?
New Joséphine Aigrette Precious Parure designs, made with rose gold and set with brilliant-cut diamonds, will be making their Singapore debut at the pop-up, along with a Bee My Love Precious Parure necklace and cuff, also made with rose gold.

Last but certainly not least, complete the experience with a cuppa, French pastries and an insightful read at the Parisian-styled café and library just across the boutique.
