Everything You Need To Know About The Latest Swatch X BAPE Collaboration


Swatch collectors can rejoice as it announces its second collaboration with Japanese streetwear giant BAPE (aka A Bathing Ape). This time, BAPE brings its unconventional flair to the fore, combining it with Swatch’s innovative watchmaking skills.

The latest Swatch Big Bold product line presents a striking 47mm watchcase. There are three new pieces: the Tokyo White Multi Camo is paired with a copper tone dial; the Tokyo Black Multi Camo comes with a yellow gold or brass tone dial, and the Tokyo Gray Multi Camo has a grey version. The multi-coloured camouflage seen on the matte silicone straps represent all the different cultures and personalities of the world, linked to one other by their uniqueness. The face of the watch stands out with a metallic 3D effect on the dial, giving BAPE's signature pattern a surface in which to shine.

On the reverse side of the straps are the Swatch and BAPE logos in the same colour way as the dial; the two loops are also a tribute to BAPE’s city of origin, Tokyo. Each watch features both brands’ favourite (mega)-cities on their bezel and comes with a Swiss-made quartz movement packed into a case that’s only 11.75mm thick.

Based on last year’s success, it is a mere matter of time before these products are out of stock.
