Everything To Know About The New Cartier Grain de Café Collection
Gold coffee beans anyone?
At Cartier, the jeweller knows that nothing quite captures the radiant beauty of summer quite like harnessing the tender grace of light. The launch of the Maison's latest jewellery collection, Grain de Café, embodies that sentiment.
Inspired by the most minuscule miniature curves and textural surfaces of the coffee bean, the collection's rings, pendants, earrings, and brooches elevate the humble culinary product by crafting its likeness in yellow gold. Studded with brilliant- and princess-cut diamonds, the jewels are intentionally arranged in clusters to produce the most precious jingle with the slightest movement when worn.
The Grain de Café collection, however, is more than just a mere introduction to newer additions to Cartier’s stellar lineup of finery. It also revisits a timestamp of the Maison's storied history dating back to the 1950s, when Hollywood legend Grace Kelly, who at that point was addressed in her official capacity as Princess of Monaco in the French Riviera, was lensed donning a necklace bearing similarities to this collection’s creations in her royal portraits.

"Grain de Café is Cartier’s new figurative collection," said Marie-Laure Cérède, Jewellery & Watchmaking Creative Director at Cartier. "It’s the freedom to surpass literal creative execution and develop a multi-sensory architecture. Grain de Café introduces a new preciousness by elevating a single material, gold, and playing with light, finishes and volume to create an acoustic collection brimming with soul."
