10 Of BAZAAR’s Favourite Pieces From Atelier Swarovski SS16
Atelier Swarovski cut their crystals with cutting-edge designers in these new collections
By Harper’s Bazaar Singapore Team - published
For spring/summer 2016, Atelier Swarovski has collaborated with avant-garde designers, such as Jean Paul Gaultier and Fredrikson Stallard, to embrace the contemporary in the art of finely cut crystal jewellery. Along with evolving their core collection, they also bring Feverish, a South Korean jewellery brand by designer Il Jung Lee, to the forefront in a collection exclusive to Asia Pacific.
Jean Paul Gaultier’s ‘Reverse’ collection is inspired by the power of contradictions. Gaultier explores perfect imperfections in a new crystal cut designed for his collection in a unique chocolate gold colour. Fredrikson Stallard’s ‘Armory’ collection celebrates the power of femininity by encapsulating elegant crystals inside bold structural metal pieces. They see their pieces as armours empowering the glamour inherent in its wearer.
The ever-ethereal butterfly serves as designer Il Jung Lee’s muse for the ‘Butterfly’ collection by Feverish. Her designs adorn the wearer with a kaleidoscope of colourful butterflies. Atelier Swarovski, inspired by the aesthetic connections between water and crystal, have revised their core collections from last year and introduced three new ones for this year.
Here, we select 10 of our favourite pieces from Atelier Swarovski’s SS16 Collections.
