It’s been a minute since we’ve had a nail-biting Formula 1 championship, thanks to Max Verstappen’s dominance on the track over the last four years, but the race for the 2025 title is still hot with McLaren’s Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri doing everything in their power to clinch the podium. While we eagerly await the money shot of the trophy being thrust into the air by the winner, we can’t help but wonder which watch will also bask in that spotlight.

Luxury watches and Formula 1 go way back, and most of our favourite drivers—Charles Leclerc, Lewis Hamilton and George Russell—are rocking some major firepower on their wrists, sponsored by prestigious watchmakers. Some drivers may not have an endorsement deal, but they are just as dialled in when it comes to collecting, sporting some exclusive timepieces. Ahead of the 2025 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, let’s take a look at all the watches actually worn by the F1 drivers this season and which might be on the wrist of the winning driver.

1. Lewis Hamilton

This F1 veteran knows good style—he even served as a co-chair for this year’s Met Gala. His wardrobe, jewellery and watches say it all, and his collection has only gotten better after switching teams this year to Ferrari, which is sponsored by Richard Mille.

Released earlier this year, the RM 43-01 is a tour de force, packed with a tourbillon movement along with the hours, minutes and seconds chronograph. With only 75 pieces ever made, this timepiece is one of Hamilton’s rarest, thus far.

One of Hamilton’s first Instagram posts of the year marked his official transition to the Ferrari team—and of course, he had to do it in style, dressed in a dapper black suit and a matching RM 67-02 ‘Italy’, known for the red, white and green accents as an ode to the Italian car manufacture.

There’s no gender when it comes to watches these days and Hamilton knows it as he has been seen wearing the RM 74-02 in white and black colourways, which sit within the manufacture’s ladies’ timepiece category.

2. Charles Leclerc

Just like his Ferrari teammate, Leclerc hasn’t just amassed an enviable Richard Mille collection over the years, he’s one of the few drivers who has a timepiece made in their honour—cementing their popularity and prowess on the track.

To honour the driver, Richard Mille took its RM 72-01 collection and threw in a few upgrades to its appearance. The most obvious difference is the white quartz TPT case with red stripes as an homage to the Monegasque flag.

Before receiving his very own namesake watch, Leclerc had the original RM 72-01 in titanium and rose gold, which appeared frequently on the driver’s Instagram with 20.5 million followers.

3. Lando Norris

As a vital member of Team McLaren, Norris—who is also a co-founder of the lifestyle and gaming brand Quadrant—is sponsored by Richard Mille and his watch collection has certainly been growing and getting more impressive.

If you weren’t convinced of this model’s popularity before, let Norris give it a shot. Unlike LeClerc, Norris’ version features a white quartz TPT case with rose gold accents, and it has continued to be in his rotation since last year.

Norris proves he’s a real collector with this piece. This watch was originally released in 2017 and named after the Qatari Olympic champion Mutaz Essa Barshim, who is best known for being one of the best high jumpers in the world.

Of course, Norris has also been spotted wearing the elusive RM 67-02 ‘McLaren’ that was specifically designed for the drivers of McLaren with black carbon TPT and quartz TPT for the case and orange accents—the team’s signature colour.

4. Oscar Piastri

This Aussie driver dominated his way through the junior league and has been making amazing strides on the F1 track with McLaren since his 2023 debut. As such, he also reps the same watch sponsor as Norris.

With only a few seasons under his belt, Piastri’s collection remains very modest with just one timepiece—RM 67-02 ‘McLaren’—in his repertoire as of now (or rather, that he’s been photographed with), but it is priceless as it is only available for the drivers and cannot be bought.

5. George Russell

Russell is consistent through and through, both behind the wheel and what he wears on his wrist—IWC Schaffhausen timepieces, which showcase his loyalty to Team Mercedes’ watch sponsor.

The brand’s Ingenieur collection is definitely among Russell’s favourites because he has several iterations in assorted case materials and colours, such as teal, navy, the light green edition featured in F1: The Movie and the most special of all—a piece-unique crafted out of black ceramic with a turquoise dial, referencing his team’s signature colour.

The next Pilot’s Watch in Russell’s current roster is the Performance Chronograph 41 AMG, made out of titanium, that features a black ceramic bezel with a tachymeter scale for measuring speed. The last Pilot’s Watch in Russell’s roster is also shared by Antonelli, which is a variant of the previous model but with a Ceratanium case and turquoise blue accents on the dial as a nod to the signature colours of the team.

6. Andrea Kimi Antonelli

Antonelli is not only the youngest F1 driver this season, he is also the youngest to lead a race, set the fastest lap and achieve a podium finish—not to mention this is his debut season. He also happens to have a sizeable collection of IWC Schaffhausen watches.

7 and 8. Isack Hadjar and Liam Lawson

A team that slays together on the Visa Cash App Racing Bulls social media pages, stays together. The duo’s chemistry is undisputed and it even bleeds into the watches they wear.

9. Max Verstappen

The four-time consecutive F1 champion’s watch collection from the likes of the Oracle Red Bull Racing Team’s sponsor TAG Heuer is worth all the praise, just like his driving skills.

Blink and you might miss it. While this watch might resemble the same custom piece gifted to Verstappen in 2024, it is actually a new edition for the 2025 season, with four stars instead of three on the left sundial representing his four consecutive wins.

Monaco Split-Seconds Chronograph, TAG Heuer

The second TAG Heuer Monaco spotted on Verstappen’s wrist this year takes inspiration from the very first reference with a blue dial that kick-started the entire collection. Of course, this modern version has been upgraded with a titanium case and a skeletonised dial. The Oracle Red Bull Racing driver has a similar custom variation gifted by the brand in 2023 to commemorate his previous wins.

The third and final TAG Heuer Monaco in steel has been receiving a lot of wear-time and we can’t blame Verstappen because it is reminiscent of the original timepiece worn by actor, racing legend and the “King of Cool” Steve McQueen.

A little (or in this case a whole case and dial) of gold never hurts. This iconic racer received a luxurious facelift earlier this year with a 3N Gold case and a 2N Gold-plated dial with a vertical-brushed finish for added texture.

Formula 1 is an official sport and it takes a lot of physical strength to power one of these racing beasts on the track. Hence, a leading sportsman like Verstappen can really put a smartwatch, such as his Connected Modular to good use.

10. Yuki Tsunoda

From the Japanese F4 to the Oracle Red Bull Racing F1 team, Tsunoda is best known for his fiery personality and he has a TAG Heuer watch collection to match.

Of course, Tsunoda also has his very own Monaco watch but it is no ordinary one. The Japanese driver wears a special edition with a DLC titanium case accompanied by neon pink accents and opaline counters that resemble the bright lights of Las Vegas, one of the cities that hosted the race this year.

This titanium timepiece proudly embodies all the iconic racing colours, from the blue opaline checkered dial with red accents to the vibrant yellow seconds hand and indicators.

A Formula 1 driver wearing the Formula 1 Solargraph by TAG Heuer? Now, that’s a match made in racing heaven. Tsunoda was spotted at the Paddock wearing the black monochromatic version of this fan-favourite reference earlier this year.

11. Nico Hulkenberg

The Kick Sauber driver recently made it to the podium for the first time in July 2025 at the British Grand Prix but that’s not all we admire about him—his latest roster of watches has caught our eye.

Elegant, sleek and stylish—the glossy black onyx dial with rose gold accents within a white gold case paired with a stark white strap is a winning combination. Hulkenberg demonstrated impeccable taste as a free agent on the watch front.

Another Audemars Piguet watch spotted on Hulkenberg’s wrist this year is the Royal Oak Selfwinding Chronograph with a khaki green in the brand’s Grande Tapisserie pattern on the dial.

12. Lance Stroll

The 27-year-old Canadian driver has racked up a couple of podium finishes under his tenure at Aston Martin and he is always repping the team’s watch sponsor Girard-Perregaux.

As the leading man for Aston Martin, it would be criminal not to see this timepiece on Stroll’s wrist, which matches all of the team’s emblematic colours of white, black, green and a flash of vibrant yellow.

13. Pierre Gasly

Gasly has been through many ups and downs throughout his career, from being demoted from Red Bull to Toro Rosso and then picking himself up and soaring to the Alpine team, which is now sponsored by H.Moser & Cie.

Every detail is designed with F1 in mind, from the two V-shaped bridges as a nod to the car’s suspension to the rotor resembling an Alpine A110 wheel rim. This is a true collaboration timepiece between the manufacture and the motorsport team.

14. Franco Colapinto

The starting driver for Alpine may be one of the newer faces of F1, but he sure is a promising one, coming close to earning points at both the Italian and Canadian Grand Prix.

Like his teammate, Colapinto has been leaning heavily on this limited edition collaboration watch by H.Moser & Cie at the Paddock and on the red carpet. This special edition comes as set of two with a digital variant called the Mechanics Edition that is a tribute to the team behind the scenes.

15. Esteban Ocon

This French driver has a lot to be proud of, having overcome hurdles in the early days of his karting career that laid the foundation for his F1 journey. Now, he gets to ride with the Haas team.

B 1.618 Flying Tourbillon Sport GMT, Bianchet

Made from titanium dust-infused carbon, this tonneau-shaped Bianchet watch is designed for high-impact sports and features a GMT dual-time function, perfect for frequent travellers like Ocon.

Designed to conform to the wearer’s wrist, this skeleton timepiece balances function with aesthetics and it is definitely made for everyday wear.

16. Oliver Bear

This fresh-faced driver is also another to watch after a meteoric rise from F4 to his full-time position with Haas for the 2025 season.

A good watch is never judged by price alone and Bear seems to know it with his very affordable Bioceramic Moonswatch with a pastel blue case, which has remained a popular model coveted by collectors since its release in 2022.
