At every Watches and Wonders edition, everyone from aficionados to the everyman awaits the latest launches from Rolex. It is after all not unexpected that perhaps the most famous watch brand in the world, is one of the rare few whose watch launches are that anticipated, even among the non-watch crowd. This year, the buzz surrounding the brand’s Oyster Perpetual Land-Dweller reached a fever pitch, thanks in part to a sneak peek from one of the brand’s most beloved ambassadors—tennis champion Roger Federer, who debuted it on his personal Instagram two days prior to the fair. While Federer may have had first dibs on seeing the reference in person, take a closer look at the other stellar offerings from the brand.

1. Rolex Oyster Perpetual Land-Dweller

Indeed the watch seen on Federer proved to be the new Land-Dweller. While pieces like the existing Oyster Perpetual Sea-Dweller come under the more niche diving watch category, the Land-Dweller is an elegant new sports-watch like offering for the modern man and woman. Think of it as the perfect all-occasion watch. Available in two sizes—a 36mm and 40mm—this watch has an integrated new bracelet dubbed the flat Jubilee that melds perfectly with the Oyster case that has been redesigned for this purpose. Adding to the elegance of the watch is a blend of finishing—a technical satin finish and polishing.
Other distinctive features include a graphic, honeycomb motif on the dial which is subtle, but still adds an element of design that lifts this above an average plain dial. The new Land-Dweller is available in three options: a white Rolesor version, in Everose gold with an intense white dial, and finally in platinum with an ice blue dial. Our personal favourite iteration is the Everose gold 36mm version with baguette-cut diamonds on the bezel—elegant yet contemporary, this is on top of our lust list and an excellent modern ladies’ watch.
2. Rolex Oyster Perpetual GMT-Master II
Rolex Oyster Perpetual GMT-Master II
Rolex’s first ever foray into ceramic dials—a material that is trending in the fair—is with the GMT-Master II. This Cerachrom dial and and the daytime bottom half (the green portion) of the bezel are a perfect match because it is made of the exact same high-technology ceramic. This year the GMT-Master II is fitted on an white gold Oyster bracelet with an Oysterlock safety clasp and like the previous “leftie” version of the GMT-Master II released in 2022, this has the date, Cyclops lens and crown all on the left.

3. Rolex Perpetual 1908

Another elegant piece from the brand and another new bracelet was introduced with the Perpetual 1908. Bringing a light and supple feel to the wrist, thanks to the innovative geometry employed on this seven-piece link bracelet dubbed the Settimo. It is composed of very small links and is the first ever metal bracelet that is dedicated to the 1908 model, giving the reference an entirely new look and feel. Thanks to its exquisite construction and subtle contouring on the links, this gives the new 1908 a certain gleam and polish while ensuring the ultimate comfort when worn. The clean look of the 1908’s dial and elegant proportion hark back to the vintage jewellery watches of the past, but it’s modern spirit means this reference still works perfectly in 2025.
4. Rolex Oyster Perpetual in new pastel dial colours

Colour trends come and go, but there is no doubt that pastel-hued dials are trending right now. Lavender is a hot colour, and when you add pistachio green and beige to the mix, you get Rolex’s new offerings of muted pastels that feel fresh and contemporary without being too outre. After all, a watch is an investment and something, that unlike a fashion piece, one will wear for years to come. The new lacquered dials have a chic, matte finish—a combination not yet seen in the brand’s catalogue. They come in different sizes: ranging from 28mm to 41mm, though the Lavender is currently not available in the largest size. They all have been updated as well with a redesigned Oyster case and a slimmer Oysterclasp for sleek and harmonious proportions that work on every wrist size, and every preference.
