Known internationally as a hub of Japanese youth culture and fashion, Harajuku is near and dear to the hearts of locals and tourists alike. Aside from the vibrant street style, eclectic indie boutiques, and charming cafes and diners, the district is also peppered with high-end, globally operating luxury stores. As a gathering point of originality, inspiration and uninhibited creative expression, it would have felt like a perfect fit for Tiffany & Co.’s new concept store. This is, after all, not your average jewellery store – with futuristic architecture and stand-out installations and displays, it borders on being an experiential showcase, rather than simply a retail space.

Dressed floor to ceiling in Tiffany Blue, (dubbed as such since it is nearly impossible to look at this particular shade of robin's egg blue and not immediately think of the brand), the 6-storey building offers personal styling in their Styling Studio, a custom engraving counter, and a vending machine filled with fragrances rather than snacks. Japan’s first Tiffany café sits on the top floor, serving up NYC staples like hot dogs, cheese pretzels, and donuts.

Of course, the jewellery does not take a back seat in this experience, as the concept store offers curated collections of both jewellery and items from Tiffany & Co.’s Home&Accessories collection. Apart from several iconic Tiffany & Co. collections like Tiffany HardWear and Tiffany Paper Flowers, the store will introduction brand-new items like new Tiffany T Smile mini color pendant and bracelet sets in pink sapphire, yellow sapphire, and blue topaz will be making its worldwide debut at this special location.

If you wait a while before you visit, you may find yourself in a completely different space - in a fitting reflection of the ever-changing and evolving fashion sense of the style chameleons that populate the streets of Harajuku, the layout of the store has been made intentionally flexible, to allow an array of designs and concepts to come to life within its walls.
