Just a little over a year old, Baby Chanco has already amassed 341, 000 followers on Instagram thanks to her glorious head of hair. Besides her burgeoning social media presence, the adorable baby girl from Japan has been made the new face of Pantene.

This follows a feature of Baby Chanco and her luscious locks in People magazine last year, where Chanco was deemed to be deserving of a Pantene ad. P&G found Chanco’s personality and special character to be a perfect fit for its latest #HairWeGo My Hair Moves Me Forward campaign, geared towards women who “want to be positive and make a new start through their hair.” The hair-care brand promptly approached Chanco’s mom, Mami Kano, who manages the viral Instagram account.
On 7 January, Baby Chanco made her official Pantene debut alongside Japanese television announcer, Sato Kondo, known for sporting elegant gray hair. The pair star in a video titled The Hairy Tale, featuring Baby Chanco’s hair story.
