The lm also features a remarkable soundtrack featuring the likes of Ariana Grande and John Legend. CHILD’S PLAY

Through “A World Full of Stories,” on from now till 30 April, 2017, at The Children’s Centre for Creativity at Gillman Barracks, Playeum wants children to experience play-time away from technology. MISSION IMPOSSIBLE

If you’re looking to shake up your senses thoroughly, Impossible, a visual extravaganza featuring six of UK’s leading illusionists in an electrifying stage performance, will do the job nicely. After a successful premiere at London’s West End in July 2015, the show travelled to sell-out shows across the UK and Dubai, before making its first Asian stop in Singapore. ENCHANTING BALLET

Coppélia is a classic ballet hit with kids, thanks to the lively choreography by renowned French choreographer, Arthur St. Léon. With added input by the Singapore Dance Theatre’s Artistic Director, Janek Schergen, this three-act ballet is a story about a village youth, Franz, and his infatuation with a life-sized mechanical doll, Coppélia. The fun begins when his betrothed, the beautiful Swanilda, decides to masquerade as the doll to fool him. From 16 to 19 March, 2017. Tickets from $35.

VILLAGE TALES

OH! Open House is an art walk that the whole family can enjoy. From 4 to 19 March, 2017 (weekend tours only), this guided walk heads to Holland Village where you will get to see specially created works by local artists within people’s homes. The 45-minute tours will span Chip Bee Gardens, HDB ats at Holland Drive and the Hakka Cemetery, so be sure to put on comfy shoes, and pack drinks and snacks for the kids. AESOP’S FABLES

After a sold-out show in 2014, I Theatre is bringing back The Ant and the Grasshopper. Based on the Beatrix Potter classic, A Peter Rabbit Tale, on from now till 14 April, 2017, is an entertaining and educational musical by the Singapore Repertory Theatre. This thoughtful production, reimagined by playwright Sarah Brandt, features the mischievous rabbit going overboard during one of his escapades. Fearing his Mum’s wrath, Peter decides to flee. Get your water bottles ready, put on some sunscreen and embark on an art journey with a difference. On from now till 30 June, 2017, this free exhibition at Gillman Barracks was inspired by the 24km route march taken by army recruits before completing their National Service. “Lock Route” presents 16 outdoor artworks by 15 renowned and emerging international and Singaporean artists, including Gerald Leow, Sheryo+Yok, Acit Salbini and Stephanie Jane Burt.

Thinking of popping by the town area for a spot of shopping with the little one? Make it a point to head down to Paragon. CHOC FULL OF THINGS TO DO

SmartKids Asia is back from 17 to 19 March 2017 at Singapore Expo Hall 6 for its sixth installation since it started in 2012. This year, SmartKids Asia partners The Straits Times Schools team to introduce two new additions to the educational event.
