Turns out, Nikki Reed and Ian Somerhalder are already a few weeks into their “month of silence.” E! News reports that Nikki gave birth to the couple’s first child — a baby girl named Bodhi Soleil Reed Somerhalder — on July 25. The news comes just days after Nikki told Fit Pregnancy‘s September 2017 issue that the couple had planned on taking one month off after their baby’s arrival. “Just the three of us, no visitors, and we’re turning off our phones too, so there’s no expectation for us to communicate.” She explained that they wanted to be “fully present” for their child, since “you don’t get those first 30 days back.”
Nikki and Ian, who have been married since April 2015, first announced they were expecting in May. In an Instagram post, Nikki wrote, “Hi Little One. I know you, but only because I feel you. How is it possible to love someone so much already?” She also posed with her baby bump in a gorgeous dress from her sustainable clothing company, Bayou With Love.
Hi Little One I know you, but only because I feel you. How is it possible to love someone so much already? All I know for sure is it's the strongest feeling I've ever felt. We've been sharing this body for quite some time, and we've already experienced so much together. We can't wait to meet you… Love Your parents
At the time, Ian added, “In my 38 years on this earth I’ve never experienced anything more powerful and beautiful than this. I can’t think of anything more exciting than this next chapter and we wanted you to hear this from us first.”
If the E! News’s report is true, this means Nikki shared her latest Instagram post — photos from her Fit Pregnancy cover shoot — officially as a new mama Wednesday, along with these other gems.
Thank you @fitpregnancy for such a sweet cover shoot and for allowing me to feel so comfortable talking about some of the most intimate and exciting moments of my life. And of course, thank you for including @bayouwithlove and encouraging a discussion on sustainable fashion and the positive impact that has had on my journey to becoming a mama 🙂 (link in bio)

Hey guys happy Sunday! By now you probably know that every Sunday I donate my social media to my @YearsofLiving team to talk about carbon pricing! This week's post is by Sai Ganagoni, a #PutAPriceOnIt campaigner and pre-med student at Emory University. "The dialogue surrounding climate change often addresses long-term effects that climate change could possibly have many hundreds of year into the future, with the melting of the polar ice caps and the endangerment of arctic animals. Climate change is viewed as an issue that will cause severe problems in someone else’s lifetime, but not our own. This is a deadly misconception that must be dispelled to prevent complacency with our current state. Climate change not only poses a threat to our distant future, but also to our imminent future health. If you haven’t been involved yet, make an effort for yourself and your future self, to rally your local representatives in favor of a policy that acts against climate change instead of ignoring it. We must #PutAPriceOnIt."
Sneaky, sneaky! Either way, welcome to the world, little Bodhi.
