Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia of Sweden have shared new portraits with their sons, Prince Alexander, 1, and Prince Gabriel, who was born on August 31. The royal family is all smiles in the photos shared to the Swedish court’s official Instagram and website.

The royal couple also shared a statement in addition to the photos, where they expressed their gratitude to those who sent kind words after they welcomed their baby boy.
“A big and warm thanks for all the kind congratulations in connection with the birth of our son, Prince Gabriel,” they said, according to People. “We appreciate your kindness very much.”
The pictures may come as a pleasant surprise, but this isn’t the first time little Prince Gabriel has been photographed. The infant made his debut in early September when the royal court shared the first public photo of him.
