When it comes to finding and showcasing young artists, Harper’s BAZAAR has had a long and illustrious history. That’s why, with our October 2015 issue, we teamed up with four promising new artists to customise images from our 38-page editorial dedicated to Singapore. From quirky cute cartoon monsters to edgy street graffiti, each artist is unique in their own way and the effect they had on our fashion shoot? Sublime.
Who: Candice Phang aka Puffing Muffin
What to expect: Quirkily cute critters and oh-so-adorable monsters abound in Phang’s work, and her Instagram is an instant mood lifter on those dreary days.
What to expect: Expressive street art
Who: Amy Finlayson
What to expect: Model/artist Finlayson is inspired by the Surrealist movement and the influence shows in her organic lines and out-of-this world imagination.
Who: Mason Mulholland
What to expect: Bricolage is what comes to mind when viewing Mulholland’s work—it’s a mish-mash of styles that always captures the eye in the most unexpected ways.
