Chrissy Teigen’s name is synonymous with Lip Sync Battle but that’s not the only thing that defines her as a star today. Born and raised in America by Norwegian and Thai parents, Teigen has swiftly created a solid platform herself in the entertainment world. From modelling, acting, broadcasting, to networking, she’s made a name for herself beyond being "John Legend's wife".

While she couldn’t be more open than she is about herself already, here are few things you may not have known about this sensational personality:

1. Boundaries aren’t a thing for Teigen

Chrissy Teigen may just be the best at balancing on the thin line between being real and savage. Regardless of all the haters, she is never afraid to speak up and be who she is. Her tweets range from trolling Donald Trump to daily one of a kind Chrissy moments that makes you think she’s just one of the friends you still follow after not seeing them for months.

Not to forget, she once took a sweet beauty nap at the Oscars. Love it or hate it, she just loves being herself.

Had the photographer never spotted her in a surf shop where she worked, we may have never gotten to see her on the covers of Cosmopolitan, Vogue Italia or Sports Illustrated. Before starting her modeling career at IMG Models, she actually aspired to become a chef. Growing up she watched and learnt how to cook from her mom and never thought she would end up going for castings and shoots.

Even during her modeling career, she continued her passion for cooking. She runs a food blog So Delushious! and is now a NY Times Best Selling author for her cookbook Cravings. Soon after her TV debut, she also made an appearance on Tyra Banks lifestyle talk show FABLife as a food stylist. Now as a mom of an 1 year old daughter, she plans to publish a second book Cravings Part 2! A model who cooks and loves food? Definitely BAE.  #wifegoals #supermom

4. Teigen was an open book of common pre- and post-pregnancy difficulties

After months of fight with infertility, John Legend and Chrissy Teigen finally had success through IVF. Though Luna, their daughter, was such a blessing, there were a lot of controversy over their IVF treatments and Teigen suffered from postpartum depression (PPD). As always, she remained responsive to public regarding IVF and open about her struggles with PPD. But this time, it wasn’t just 140 characters but an entire essay with Glamour which she dedicated to sharing her experiences and condolences to all other women out there from her heart.

5. The Life of every Lip Sync Battle

“Swimsuit model” may be a bit of an understated title for Teigen now. Since April 2015, she became a co-host on Lip Sync Battle never failing to shine among A-list celebrities that come on the show. Perhaps it’s her modeling experiences or that she’s just so down to Earth but her expressions on show are priceless. We look forward to seeing her perform too on show one day!
