Apple has teamed up with the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) to save Mother Earth from the misdeeds of the human race. The duo has joined forces with the powers of celebrity to further their “Global Apps For Earth” cause. The march towards a greener earth is rolling along nicely. #AppsForEarth is trending on social media – a key fulcrum to the campaign’s outreach strategy – thanks to the backing of celebrities with super social-media powers. Leonardo Di Caprio, Gisele Bündchen, Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner have all united under the cause to spread awareness for the conservation of forests, oceans, fresh water and wildlife, food and climate change.

Oscar-winning actor Leonardo DiCaprio is Mother Earth’s very own Avenger hero.

Fashion model Kendall Jenner and sister slash reality-star Kylie Jenner, have optimised their app: Kendall & Kylie to be one of the representing 27 mobile apps who will be creating Earth-inspired content and experiences in line with the campaign. All proceeds from these 27 apps will go to WWF.

Taylor Swift‘s light-hearted comment might digress from the subject but it will sure boost its visibility – so thank you Tay-Tay and fellow Swifities.

Supermodel Gisele Bündchen has also strut on board the jungle beat to save our Earth.

A celebrity in his own right, Apple’s CEO, Tim Cook. Apple has turned the leaf of the Apple logo green across 132 stores worldwide. Beginning April 15, employees will be donning on green T-shirts to raise awareness and certain Apple Stores will be playing host to “Talks for Earth” and photo walks related to the campaign. All US stores will also be switching  to paper shopping bags made from 80 percent recycled materials.
