Apple Watch 2 rumors

You love your Apple Watch — and now meet its newer, smarter cousin, the Apple Watch 2.

Apple is said to be planning two new models of the watch this year, according to rumors reported on by The Verge. The upgrade will reportedly have a similar design with a slightly thinner display and new internal components like a GPS radio, barometer, and a faster processor. Such updates will require a larger, more powerful battery, and thus it’s unlikely the watch will be any smaller than its counterpart. Meaning if you’re hoping for more dramatic design changes you may need to wait even longer.

LTE support may also come to the watch in 2017, for standalone cellphone and data functionality, Engadget reports.

Sources suggest the Apple Watch 2 will debut alongside the iPhone 7 in September. The price is undetermined, as are many details about the watch in general, but we still can’t help but get excited!
