When you think about it, Louis Vuitton’s window displays have enthralled passers-by for years and are masterpieces in their own right. From glossy gold dinosaurs to multi-tentacled spectacles, the luxury powerhouse’s exhibits introduce a certain degree of wonder into the shopping experience. These creative works have now been documented and preserved in the fashion brand’s book, Louis Vuitton Windows. With an introduction by The New York Times’s fashion director Vanessa Friedman, the linen-encased clamshell book will feature more than 150 illustrations and images by Faye McLeod and Ansel Thompson, the brains behind the monumental displays. Book worm or not, this is one book we can’t wait to get our hands on.
‘Louis Vuitton Windows’ will be available through assouline.com or at the Louis Vuitton Island Maison Marina Bay Sands in October.
