Beyoncé slayed the world yet again, post-pregnancy announcement, with one of the most stunning Grammy performances to date. She performed a medley of songs from her album, Lemonade, whilst looking like an actual golden goddess. It was a tribute to mothers and women all over the world.
Beyoncé took the stage after being announced by her own mother, Tina Knowles, in a majestic jewel-encrusted gown by Peter Dundas and a House of Malakai-designed gold headpiece that made her look as if she stepped out of Botticelli’s painting.

This wasn’t the first time Peter Dundas designed for Queen Bey. He has famously designed the canary yellow dress in her Hold Up music video. He shared his sketches of his vision for her Grammy performance on his Instagram.

We are more than happy to watch his vision come to life, matching the grand energy of Beyoncé’s performance.
And what a performance it was! Beyoncé showed off her pregnant belly proudly, accompanied with ephemeral visuals and poetry by Warshan Shire.

The visual featured hundreds of women, as did the on-stage performance, making the moment even more powerful:
Seated at the front row, Jay Z, Blue Ivy and Tina Lawson applauded loudly as the performance ended. Beyoncé blew a kiss at her family and Jay Z was caught being emotional. As if we weren’t emotional enough already from the performance, bring on the waterworks.
