It has been a tumultuous summer for Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris: They broke up in June, Swift started dating Tom Hiddleston two weeks after, and Harris was not happy about it.
He staged an Instagram purge, wrote and released a Hiddleswift song, posted Instagram comments about her controlling the media narrative of their breakup, and was the star of the "This Is What You Came For" Twitter drama. Harris confirmed then that yes, Swift wrote the song too after her team allegedly leaked the fact to TMZ. Then he appealed to his ex-girlfriend directly: "I figure if you're happy in your new relationship you should focus on that instead of trying to tear your ex bf down for something to do. I know you're off tour and you need someone new to try and bury like Katy ETC but I'm not that guy, sorry. I won't allow it."
Harris's final strike was last month at the VMAs when he decided not to mention Swift in his award acceptance speech when "This Is What You Came For" won Best Male Video.
Swift said nothing during all this drama—until Friday night. She went to Gigi Hadid's Tommy x Gigi show, having officially broken up with Hiddleston a week ago. And from the front row, she posted a video of her singing their song.
Harris saw this Sunday and responded with two peace-declaring taps:
