In these challenging times, we could all use a day or two of luxuriating at a splendid hotel.
But it’s also important not to forget about those who need a little help. Capella Singapore has partnered up with the Association for Persons with Special Needs (APSN) to introduce two initiatives that not only offer you a chance to get some much needed TLC, but also the opportunity to help and empower local communities, especially the youths.
APSN is a social service agency that provides education for person with mild intellectual disabilities. The agency currently operates four Special Education Schools for students aged seven to 21. Their mission is to equip the students with the necessary skills and knowledge to be active contributors of society.
As part of their pledge to create an environment that uplifts and embraces young people with disabilities as well as to offer meaningful hospitality experiences, Capella Singapore plans to empower youths to harness their full potential through curated mentorship programme where the hotel and resort chain will encourage these students to explore and nurture their passions, strengths and talents.
The first initiative is an online auction to raise funds for APSN. Guests will be able to bid for exclusive staycation packages valid during the festive season, comprising exquisite seasonal epicurean experiences. A total of four packages are available: Two for Christmas Eve and the remaining two for New Year’s Eve.
Both Staycation Auction Experiences comprise of a one-night stay in a Capella Suite, a choice between a decadent four-course dinner at The Knolls or a six-course feast at Cassia, as well as well a complimentary bottle of Billecart Salmon Brut Reserve NV Champagne, a 60-minute Auriga Signature Massage for two and an Aesop Parsley Seed Anti-Oxidant Skin Care Kit.
The second initiative is the ‘Secret Santa’. While guests wine, dine and luxuriate at Capella Singapore, they will also be able to participate in the hotel’s gift-giving activity benefitting the children at APSN Student Care Centre.
“With hospitality at the core of everything we do at Capella Singapore, we wanted to celebrate this festive season in a meaningful way by extending our philosophy of excellence in service to the community around us,” Fernando Gibaja, General Manager of Capella Singapore explains. “Youths’ wellbeing and empowerment is something that is very close to our heart and we’re very excited to be working with ASPN on these initiatives.” he adds.
Guests can submit their bids to email@example.com. The top two winning bids entitles the bidder to stay in a Capella Suite on their bid date. Visit their website for more details.
