Adele spoke directly to her fans to apologize for rescheduling her concerts.

The "Easy on Me" singer announced Thursday that she is postponing her Las Vegas residency, Weekends with Adele, which was originally scheduled to being Friday at the Colosseum in Caesars Palace. The star personally apologized to her fans both on Instagram and through video call, FaceTiming directly with ticket holders gathered at the concert venue Friday night.

During the calls, the "Hello" singer told the fans she would give them free merchandise and offered meet-and-greets when her residency eventually returns, per People. In one call, shared on social media, she apologized to four fans who had traveled to Vegas from New York, saying, "I'm really sorry for not being there."

She also shared a message for her fans on Twitter that night, thanking them for understanding. "I have the best fans in the world! Your graciousness and love tonight is overwhelming! Thank you," she wrote.

In her emotional Instagram announcement, Adele explained that the last-minute rescheduling was due to delivery delays and other difficulties due to the pandemic. She captioned the video, "All dates will be rescheduled. More info coming soon."

"Hi, listen I'm so sorry but my show ain't ready. We tried absolutely everything that we can to put it together in time and for it to be good enough for you but we've been absolutely destroyed by delivery delays and COVID. Half my crew, half my team are down with COVID — they still are," she began.

She continued, "It's been impossible to finish the show — and I can't give you what I have right now. I'm tired. I'm tired. I'm sorry it's so last minute, we've been awake for over 30 hours now trying to figure it out, and we've run out of time."

"I'm so upset, and I'm really embarrassed and so sorry to everyone that's traveled again. I'm really, really sorry, I'm really sorry. We're on it, we're gonna reschedule all of the dates, we're on it right now, and I'm gonna finish my show and I'm gonna get it to where it's supposed to be. I'm so sorry it's been impossible, we've been up against so much, and it just ain't ready. I'm really sorry," she concluded.

Weekends with Adele was originally scheduled to run January through April, with two shows a weekend. There is no word yet on timing for when the residency might begin.
