The Beckhams Put On A United Front Following Email Leak Blackmail Scandal

It has been a difficult weekend for the Beckhams, but that hasn't stopped the famous family from putting on a display of togetherness in recent days.

After an email hack allegedly revealed the former footballer's views on failing to be given a knighthood, David Beckham has chosen not to shy away from the public eye. Instead, he and his wife Victoria and son Brooklyn have continued to update their social media accounts as normal.

Although Beckham has not publicly responded to the email hack, he published a video of him reading a bedtime story with his daughter Harper on Saturday, before he paid tribute to victims of the Munich air disaster on Sunday.

Brooklyn showed a sign of support for his father by sharing a photo of him with Harper on Instagram, while Victoria promoted her fashion line.

Beckham, who received an OBE from the Queen in 2003, has rejected claims that he complained about being snubbed for a knighthood. According to his PR team, emails from Beckham to his publicist Simon Oliveira and others in his team were obtained after Oliveira's computer server was illegally hacked.

Beckham allegedly branded the honours committee "a bunch of c***s" in one message which reportedly read: "I expected nothing less. Who decides on the honors [sic]?? It's a disgrace to be honest and if I was American I would have got something like this 10 years ago."

In another email, Beckham, who is a Unicef ambassador, apparently complained about being asked to match the highest bidders at an auction for the charity in New York, stating: "Chloe asked me an outright which I was p***** . . . I don't want to do it and won't do it with my own money."

However, Beckham maintains that some of the emails had been altered and maintains they had been taken out of context.

"This story is based on outdated material taken out of context from hacked and doctored private emails from a third party server and gives a deliberately inaccurate picture," a spokesman for Beckham told The Telegraph.

On Monday, it was reported that the leaked emails went public after Beckham refused to pay £1 million to blackmailers. According to the Daily Mirror, hackers approached Doyen Sports in Portugal, part of Oliveira's firm Doyen Global, and demanded the sum not to expose the millions of messages they had accessed.
