Bermuda shorts—along with capri and low-rise pants—are probably one of the most contested pieces of clothing to ever exist in fashion history. Long abhorred by the fashion flock, the just-above-the-knee bottoms may be on the verge of a renaissance, as indicated by Bella Hadid’s stylish wearing of them.
The supermodel was spotted outside the Max Mara show during Milan Fashion Week wearing a speckled dark-gray version of the shorts. She expertly styled them with a plain white T-shirt layered under a checkered cream-and-black poncho with black fringe. She also wore a matching speckled sweater tied around her shoulders, opaque tights, and black calf-high boots. For accessories, Hadid carried a black double-logo Chanel handbag and wore a pair of black oval sunglasses.

Though the street style darling often makes headlines with her daring looks, she told WSJ. Magazine that she hasn’t worked with a full-time stylist in years.
“I haven’t had a stylist in a long time, maybe two years now,” she said. “I was in such a weird place mentally that it was really complicated for me to get out of the house and put an outfit together, especially with the anxiety of [paparazzi] being outside and all that.”
She added that she eventually reached a place where she feels comfortable with her personal style, no matter what other people have to say. “In the last year, it was really important for me to learn that even if people talk about my style or if they like it or if they don’t, it doesn’t matter, because it’s my style,” she continued. “When I leave the house in the morning, what I think about is: Does this make me happy? Do I feel good in this and do I feel comfortable?”
