Update, 4/1: More details of the first big celebrity wedding in 2018 have been revealed. Taeyang and Min Hyorin are set to be wed early this February. 3 February to be exact! The two stars’ management agencies have released official statements regarding the wedding. The two will be holding a small traditional church wedding ceremony with only close friends and family attending. Their wedding reception will take place at Paradise City in Incheon with their close acquaintances.
What’s more, it looks like the newlyweds won’t be able to celebrate their matrimony with a honeymoon due to their hectic and clashing work schedules. Which is a real shame to hear but nevertheless, it’s understandable considering their demanding careers. The wedding is bound to be a star-studded event, but it will be a closed-door, private event as per the couple’s request. We are hoping that they will be releasing official wedding photos because how cute will they look?!

Original, 18/12: Less than an hour ago, Big Bang’s Taeyang, 30, took to Instagram and made a huge announcement that probably broke the hearts of many women out there. He revealed in a rather lengthy and heartfelt Instagram post that he will be settling down and tying the knot with long-time girlfriend, Min Hyorin, 32. Along with this announcement came an outpouring of love and support from his fans.

The couple have been dating since 2015, though they flew very much under the radar. The low-key couple has been pretty, quiet and stagnant all these years so the sudden huge announcement does come with a little surprise from fans and celebrities alike. If the song “Bang Bang Bang” suddenly comes to mind, get that track out of your head because their labels have nipped rumours in the bud by saying that it is not a shot gun wedding.
YG Entertainment and Hyorin’s label confirmed the news that the couple is preparing to wed and reveals that they are planning to walk down the aisle very soon, in February 2018, before Tae Yang’s enlistment. Just like Singapore’s National Service, South Korean men have to serve their nation and the couple are planning to say “I do” before then.
Insiders have also divulged that they are planning a smaller, more intimate wedding rather than a grand one. Typical of most South Korean A-list celebrities, so there’s no surprise there. Looks like the first quarter of 2018 will see many celebrity weddings and we can’t be any more excited!
