As you can imagine, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen don’t make for the most conventional of bridesmaids. This weekend, the designer duo took on roles in the wedding party of Cassie Coane – the creative director of Gomelsky – as she headed down the aisle, and their ensembles were anything but ordinary.

The twins were just two of Coane’s 18 bridesmaids, who all wore different dresses, which had just one thing in common, that they were in the floral family. While some opted for tiered pink lace frocks and others for flute-sleeved patterned dresses, the Olsens both went for something entirely different.

In an Instagram post shared by bridesmaid Sarah Staudinger, Mary-Kate can be seen standing slightly to the left of the group in a voluminous kimono-style dress with billowing sleeves. She wore her hair up and accessorised with a pretty floral crown. Her sister opted for a black dress with big brocade sleeves and statement earrings.

While the ensembles may not be typical bridesmaid attire, they were certainly fitting for this very chic and unique fashion wedding.

This is not the first time the twins have played bridesmaid this year. In March, they jetted to New Zealand for another friend’s wedding, where they joined her down the aisle in black ensembles.
