Would it shock you if I said that Julia Fox passing off a stack of belts as a miniskirt is one of her tamer outfits of the past few weeks?
As fashion month continues to rage on, the Uncut Gems star is pushing the boundaries of her street style through extreme looks, including but not limited to assless chaps, horse tail accessories, and a poodle embroidered on the front of an evening gown.
Now, in her latest look straight from Milan, Fox has once again upped the ante by putting a sultry twist on a classic wardrobe staple.
The infamous DIY maven wore three different thin belts strapped around her bust, forming a pseudo-bandeau bra. For her bottoms, she took a similar approach, though instead, she opted for wider belts to create the silhouette of a micro miniskirt. The belts came in different textures and colours, from distressed olive green, bright red leather, and metallic silver to glossy black and a graphic print of a mouth opened wide.
As for the rest of Fox’s ensemble, the model wore an oversized black trench coat and brown leather knee-high stiletto boots. She also carried a croc-embossed bag from Diesel.

In a previous interview with The Cut, Fox talked about embracing her own personal style preferences over fashion norms.
“[Her publicity team was] like, ‘Oh, they’re a little too editorial,’ ’It’s too sexy. It’s too provocative. It’s too out there,'” Fox shared. She said her tune has since changed. “I was just like, ‘Okay, I guess I just have to be more Hollywood and more bland.’ But fuck that narrative if I want to pop out and wear crazy shit—which is what I want to wear.”
