Emily Ratajkowski

A viral video of Emily Ratajkowski and Harry Styles smooching in Tokyo stunned the Internet back in March. The intimate moment sent fans into a frenzy, prompting questions about the status of their relationship.

Taking place just a few months after Styles ended his two-year relationship with Olivia Wilde, the covertly-captured footage shows them kissing in the street next to a van. It surprised many when the two began publicly expressing their love and affection for each other in a very public place.

Even more shocking than the two getting together was the fact that EmRata and Wilde have been friends for years, making the public display of affection all the more unexpected.

In a recent interview with Spanish Vogue, EmRata said this wasn’t what she expected, either.

Emily said, “But I think, in general, there’s a reason certain celebrities live in LA, hire security, don’t go to public restaurants.” She continued, “It’s very bizarre to have certain experiences and then have the whole world know and comment on them.”

In response to the kiss circulating online, she hinted at a conflict between herself and Wilde, saying, “That’s how it is… Just an unfortunate issue.”

According to the model, “slut shaming” has affected her dating life, and how young women are portrayed in the media is also a major point of frustration.

“In case you ask me about it, it’s more of the same,” she said. “I feel bad for Olivia [Wilde], because she has had to suffer this situation on several occasions.”

Wilde’s relationship with Styles was frequently scrutinised after her highly-publicised split with comedian Jason Sudeikis.
