She's bringing Aspen to your closet.

Après-ski clothes aren't just a trend to Gigi Hadid. The model and Guest in Residence cashmere designer actually grew up skiing in Aspen. Unlike one-season-only Ikon pass holders, she relishes the before on the mountain as much as the after.

"I love to ski, have the best memories doing so, but also love the feeling of my body being sore from the day and getting cozy," Hadid reflects to BAZAAR. "There is nothing better than getting in the jacuzzi, then changing into a comfortable set and cashmere socks [and] sitting around a fire." Friends, family, and board games included.

All the time Hadid has spent on skiing and unwinding afterward have inspired her label's latest moves. First, a Guest in Residence pop-up shop in her favourite ski town. Second, a collaboration with the The Snow Lodge at the St. Regis Aspen—the snow-dusted sister of Montauk's infamous Surf Lodge—on a set of cashmere hoodies and crewneck sweatshirts to commemorate luxurious winter travel.

"Aspen is near and dear to my heart, and I love the feeling of having something attached to a special place with great memories," Hadid explains. "This collection was designed by mentally taking myself to my favourite ski destination experiences with loved ones."

The four limited-edition pieces, exclusively sold at The Snow Lodge's Aspen location and , come in slightly oversized, unisex fits and are made with one hundred percent cashmere and a postcard-like illustration of the Aspen slopes. Their laid-back, sip-Hot-Toddys-by-the-hearth vibe matches the casual coolness of Hadid's everyday street style. It;s not hard to picture her walking in Soho, draped in her limited edition sweater, leggings, and trusty.

"Comfort and timeless style is very important to me," Hadid says, "and that is definitely reflected in the ski collection, while still being true to my style in terms of practicality. These are chic pieces that can be matched with personal staples or dressed up, and also layered to hit the slopes."

Speaking of slope-side layers, Hadid designed all the in-between pieces she needed for this season on the mountain, in addition to her sentimental capsule. (Ah, the perks of running a cashmere brand!) This year, she tells us she packed Guest in Residences's speed skate leggings to layer between her ski pants and thermal underwear for "the best insulated experience," plus a dedicated ski tee and balaclava.

Of all her latest pieces, the capsule with The Snow Lodge has the most slope-to-street versatility. And, it'll unlock core winter memories. Whether someone makes it out to Aspen once or every single season, Hadid says,"I hope these [pieces] can be a sort of souvenir for them to look back on good times for years to come."
