Hailey Bieber is reminding us that what we see on Instagram is not always the reality, and deep down, every person is going through something we know nothing about.

In an emotional Instagram story message posted this morning, the model wrote, "I like to make jokes about how I feel because sometimes it’s easier than admitting I’m having a hard time. But truthfully since 2023 started I have had some of the saddest, hardest moments I’ve ever had in my adult life and my mind and emotions have been fragile to say the least."

Bieber did not expand on what experiences she was referring to, but her post comes weeks after she lost thousands of social media followers due to theories that she had been bullying husband Justin Bieber's ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez. (Bieber and Gomez have since defended each other on Instagram, asking fans to stop pushing the false narrative.)

The Rhode founder said that she knows "so many other people feel the way I feel," and she hopes they know they are not alone.

"That being said, let’s keep being there for loved ones and friends and family and strangers," Bieber continued. "Let’s just be there for people.. let’s keep showing up for each other even when it’s hard. We’re better together 🤍."

Bieber has been busy promoting her new Rhode launches this month, including her new passionfruit peptide lip treatment. She also recently launched her cooking show, What's in My Kitchen, with friend Kendall Jenner as one of her first guests.
