Taylor Swift Joe Alwyn

Joe Alwyn never publicly said much about Taylor Swift during their six-year relationship. Nevertheless, he seems to be quite okay with speaking publicly about his thoughts and feelings regarding her recent romance with The 1975’s Matty Healy.

In a new report by the Daily Mail, a source close to Alwyn said he was left feeling betrayed by Swift’s transition from their relationship to the next. News of Swift and Healy’s romance broke in early May, little more than a month after reports of her and Alwyn’s breakup first emerged.

Swift previously worked with Healy and his band on her album, Midnights, according to a separate report from People; however, their contributions ultimately didn’t make the final cut.

The British tabloid reports that Alwyn feels “slighted” and “distraught” by Swift’s budding relationship with Healy, but that he’s “doing his best to keep busy” despite the turmoil. The source further stated that in Alwyn’s opinion, Swift was simply making music with Healy and that they were just becoming friends. The source also denied that Swift’s romance with Healy may possibly have overlapped with her relationship with Alwyn.

It was reported by Entertainment Tonight back in April that Swift ended things with Alwyn in March. “Taylor and Joe are in totally different places in their lives right now,” a source told ET at the time. “It was more of Taylor’s decision to break up, but both of them realised that they weren’t completely right for one another.”
