Jennifer Lopez And Ben Affleck Are Engaged!
Over two decades since they first met, Bennifer will now be heading down the aisle.

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are getting married!
Lopez shared the news with the world with an exclusive video clip published in her personal fan newsletter (dubbed On the J.Lo), according to People, E! News and Page Six. The video featured Lopez beaming as she showed off her new engagement ring — an emerald cut, pale green diamond. The superstar shared a teaser of the clip on her social media pages where she wrote, "Major announcement!!!!" Fans quickly began sending their messages of congratulations to the couple on Twitter and Instagram following the big reveal.
Nearly two decades after the two initially split, J. Lo and Affleck reunited in April 2021, following the dissolution of the multi-hyphenate's engagement to Alex Rodriguez.
The couple first met in 2001 on the set of rom-com Gigli. Soon after, the two went public with their relationship, becoming the It couple of the early aughts. By November 2002, Bennifer got engaged. Affleck had famously proposed to the star with a 6.1-carat pink diamond that cost him $2.5 million. But, just two years later, they announced the end of their engagement.

Over the years, Lopez and Affleck moved on with different people. The "Let's Get Loud" singer married Marc Anthony in 2004, later welcoming twins Emme Muñiz and Max Muñiz. The actor, too, married Jennifer Garner in 2005 and they welcomed three children during the course of their marriage: daughters Violet and Seraphina Affleck, and son Samuel Affleck. Lopez and Anthony separated in 2014 while Affleck and Garner divorced in 2018.
Since Bennifer reunited in 2021, they have both opened up at getting a second chance at their love story.
"We're older now, we're smarter, we have more experience, we're at different places in our lives, we have kids now, and we have to be very conscious of those things. We're so protective because it is such a beautiful time for all of us," Lopez told People this past February. "It's beautiful the way it feels very different than it was years ago. … There's more of an appreciation and a celebration for it, which is nice. … When you find somebody and you really, really love them and you get a second chance at that? That is a really rare, precious, beautiful thing and we don't take it for granted."

Affleck reflected on the trajectory of their relationship in a 2021 interview with WSJ. Magazine. "I can say that it's definitely beautiful to me," the actor said of their reunion. "It is a good story. It's a great story. And, you know, maybe one day I'll tell it. I'll write it all out. And then I'll light it on fire."
