It’s official! As if we weren’t already pretty sure thanks to a few Instagram likes here, and a few deleted Tweets there, Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin are engaged to be married! The pop star confirmed his plans to wed the top model with an Instagram post this evening, because that’s how the kids do it these days.

Was gonna wait a while to say anything but word travels fast, listen plain and simple Hailey I am soooo in love with everything about you! So committed to spending my life getting to know every single part of you loving you patiently and kindLY. And if you had any doubts about their whirlwind engagement, Bieber was happy to make things clear for the naysayers. In a long-winded caption under two black and white photos of the couple, Bieber referred to Baldwin as, “the love of my life.”

He also touched upon the significance of the date that they got engaged, July 7th. “Gods timing really is literally perfect, we got engaged on the seventh day of the seventh month, the number seven is the number of spiritual perfection, it’s true GOOGLE IT! Isn’t that nuts?” Bieber insists that he did not plan it that way though.

In his caption he also gave us insight into what kind of husband he hopes to be, saying, “So committed to spending my life getting to know every single part of you loving you patiently and kindLY. I promise to lead our family with honor and integrity letting Jesus through his Holy Spirit guide us in everything we do and every decision we make.”

The couple first met in 2011 backstage during Bieber’s first tour when they were 17 and 14 respectively. They dated on and off in 2016, and reunited romantically mere weeks ago as they were spotted kissing in New York and the Hampton. Rumors of their engagement began over the weekend with photos of the couple in the Bahamas surfaced, and Baldwin was seen wearing a large diamond ring.
